The Department of Mathematics and Natural Science (MNS) of BRAC University, Dhaka is organizing the National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad on the 9th of December 2011, Friday, in collaboration with Bangladesh Mathematical Society (BMS).
This Olympiad hopes to provide exposure to the talented, young undergraduate students to come forth and illustrate their mathematical and analytical skills. In addition, this endeavor strives to create a national awareness about the importance of mathematics at the tertiary level and aims to help develop the standards of mathematics nationwide.
Any university or college student who is interested in mathematics and is studying it as either a major or a minor course is eligible to apply for participating. At most 250 students will be allowed to enter the national competition so it is recommended to register as early as possible. The Organizing Committee will select the final list of contestants for the Olympiad.
