CfL offers a number of activities in Residential Semester like Creative Writing, Wall Magazine, Drama,Spelling Bee, Chinese Language and so on. Each and every student signs up for at least an activity of their interest. Classes are held once a week where students do show real talent and ability in their chosen activity.
The aim of these activities is to help the students flourish their dormant talent in different arenas of their talent. In addition, students get the opportunity to work with other students as group and thus help themselves grow up their interactive and leadership skills that match with the long term vision of BRAC University to create future leaders for the country. Under the able guidance and continuous supervision of the Director CfL, the activities are drawing more and more interest of the students in RS and for that reason they often want to sign up for more than one activities.
In addition to the regular weekly classes, students of different activities come in public with their volume of works and let other’s know what went on through out the semester. For example, Wall Magazine group publish at least two issues containing all important matters in the campus and other contemporary issues important nationally and internationally. Creative Writing group publish a final issue of their production in the form of a Magazine by the end of each semester which is preserved and published by BRAC University main campus under the supervision of none other than the VC. Likewise, Drama group also come up with excellent demonstration of their skills and expertise through performance on the stage.
