Centre for Languages (CfL) prepares materials which are published in The Daily Star, titled “English For School (EIS)” weekly. It is an effort to entertain school goers with a silent aim to develop their English language proficiency level.
Usually, materials are prepared targeting two groups: VI-VIII and IX –X. Objectives of these materials are to develop students’ exam-skills along with language-skills. Contents and test-types from National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) syllabuses are followed most of the time to specify learning domain of the tender-aged target group. Besides, content information are presented in creative and artistic ways which is also an attraction for general newspaper readers. CfL presents own designs and ideas which may be claimed as creative and authentic work.
