Ms. Nadia joined the School of Public Health, BRAC University as a Sr. Research Associate this year. She is working on a project titled as "Introducing Pay-For-Performance (P4P) Approach to Increase Utilization of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Services in Bangladesh".
She completed her Honours in Economics and M. Sc in Health Economics from Dhaka University in 2004. She did her additional Masters in Public Health from the James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University in 2007. Her Thesis was adjudged as the best dissertation of the 2nd MPH course and she was given the prestigious William B . Greenough III award for this.
She has over five years experience in conducting research, producing research reports, project management, data analysis and other related research works in reputed national and international research organizations like Transparency International Bangladesh Chapter and ICDDR,B. Before joining SPH, she had been working as a Research Fellow in the Health Systems and Infectious Diseases Division of ICDDR, B for two and a half years. She developed several research protocols and worked as a Principal Investigator for different projects. Many of her publication works are ongoing. She also presented her works in several national and international forums.
Her career objective is to become a successful public health professional and pursue a progressive career in development research and policy particularly in the fields of health economics, poverty and health. |
