Mr. Mahmud completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy from Dhaka University in 2003 and started his career as a Lecturer and Research Associate for the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP). In 2007. He completed his Masters in Public Health from the James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University in 2007 and received the Best Dissertation award for his MPH independent study on health seeking behaviour of disabled people of Bangladesh. He joined the James P. Grant School of Public Health in February 2007. He was involved in two research projects: 1) Neglected Sexual and Reproductive health concerns of men and women and access to providers; and 2) 'People living with HIV stigma index' study in Bangladesh. In 2008, he was promoted to the position of a Lecturer in the School. His fields of interests are disability, men’s sexual and reproductive health, and health systems. He is currently on a study leave for his PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. |
